Farming simulator Stardew Valley has just celebrated its second anniversary, having launched back on Feb. 26, 2016. Developer ConcernedApe had taken to Twitter to express his gratitude to the fans and shared that the multiplayer feature is “close” to releasing.
Today is the 2 year anniversary of Stardew Valley. I've got that strange sensation of both the shortest and longest 2 years of my life. Thanks for joining me on this journey everyone. With MP close, my next (secret) game in the works, and more… there's lots to look forward to

Interestingly enough, he also teased that he is working on a completely new project. “With MP close, my next (secret) game in the works, and more… there’s lots to look forward to,” he tweeted. That’s all he had to say about his next game, however, so fans will just have to keep their eyes open for what the developer has in store.
Stardew Valley took the world by storm when it initially launched on Steam. Fans and critics praised the game for its classic take on the genre. Despite being a farming simulator, players also had plenty of other ways to make a living. You can also befriend the villagers, take part in town events, and even get married.
ConcernedApe has been hard at work making the highly-anticipated multiplayer feature. While there’s no planned release date for it, the beta is already set for this Spring.
Stardew Valley is now available to play on the PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
