Mega Man 11 has brought the original series blasting into the modern console generation. Players are going to need to amass a fortune of bolts if they want to survive some of the game’s harder difficulty settings We’ll make sure you know how to get Bolts fast in Mega Man 11.

The latest mainline entry in the iconic series, Mega Man 11 is a dream come true for fans of the series. A slew of creative and quirky levels are available for players to platform, slide and bust their way through. Mega Man 11 also brings forward a cast of robot masters that feel right at home with some of the series’ best opponents, and each provide a challenging boss fight for players to learn their way through.

As a result though, there are more than a few challenges that players will come up against in Mega Man 11. They’ll need to utilize every advantage at their disposal to make it through the worst the game can throw at them, and to do that, they’ll need a large quantity of the game’s currency, bolts, to spend at Doctor Light’s shop on E-Tanks, Spike Trap protectors and anything else they can get their hands on.

While players can certainly take their time in Mega Man 11 and collect bolts normally from enemy drops, there are a few ways to get bolts fast. One is to take on Impact Man’s stage as early as possible and head to the area which sees players try to stay on moving platforms while enemies constantly respawn. Instead of staying on the platform, they can drop in and out of the enemies’ active screens. This causes them to respawn endlessly, collecting the spoils each time they die.

Likewise, Mega Man 11’s Torch Man level has spider enemies which spawn a swarm of smaller enemies. Each of these are guaranteed to drop health, energy or bolts. Should the player use this exiting and re-entering trick on them after they’re defeated – or kill themselves before a new checkpoint is earned and keep going back through the stage fresh – and show some patience while the RNG does its thing, they can amass several thousand bolts in no time flat.

Hopefully, this gives you a little more info on how to get bolts fast in Mega Man 11. The game is currently available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch. For our full thoughts on the game, be sure to check out our Mega Man 11 review.
