How to Get Icons in FIFA 18’s Ultimate Team

Recommended Videos

Icons is the new name for Legends that were exclusive to the Xbox version of previous FIFA titles. However, in FIFA 18, Icons are now available on all platforms. These players are, as their name suggests, soccer icons who will forever go down in the history books. From Ronaldinho to Gullit, these players will be a massive boost to your Ultimate Team in FIFA 18, so of course, you’ll want to know how to get them.

Icons will primarily be gotten through opening gold packs in Ultimate Team. It’s unlikely they’ll be given their own specific packs, although there may be limited packs released at some point that may increase their likelihood of dropping. Outside of trying your luck with gold packs, you can also unlock a handful of them on temporary loans by completing FIFA 18’s Hunter Returns game mode. We won’t spoil who you’ll get or when, but it’s well worth playing through to give you a head start on the competition.

You’ll also be able to get Ronaldo Nazario as a loan item for five games in Ultimate Team from FIFA 18’s Icon Edition. Just make sure you use him wisely, as once those five games are up, it’s over.
