IS THERE SPLIT SCREEN IN DIRT 4?
Dirt 4 is fantastic when you are playing against other people, setting times, and challenging other people to beat you. Joining a lobby of seven other racers and taking on the same track at the same time, watching as the positions constantly change is thrilling. However, many players would rather take on friends in the comfort of their own home while using split-screen.
Unfortunately, Dirt 4 follows the trends of many other recent racing games and does not include a split-screen mode. The only multiplayer options are online, and while they offer a lot of replayability, it would be great to race your friends locally. In the online modes, you can race people on a single circuit in rally cross (which would be perfect for split-screen play) or on your own track in classic rally. If you are insistent of racing against other people in split-screen you will have to find another game.
It is very unlikely that Codemasters will ever add split-screen play to Dirt 4. They are more likely to focus on VR compatibility as they did with Dirt Rally.
