Remnant: From the Ashes is a third-person co-op shooter with dynamically-generated worlds featuring new challenges through each playthrough. Up to three players can team together and take on large monsters to earn experience, loot, and upgrade materials.

The game has one add-on, Swamps of Corsus, available that adds a survival mode alongside other new content, and will be releasing the new Subject 2923 add-on on Aug. 20.

The other free game this week is The Alto Collection containing two games: Alto’s Adventure and Alto’s Odyssey. The snowboarding and sandboarding game offers 120 levels, 360 goals, and seven unique characters.

Remnant: From the Ashes and The Alto Collection are free from the Epic Games Store starting today until Thursday, Aug. 20 at 11 a.m. ET.

Epic Games also announced two more free games for next week: Enter the Gungeon and God’s Trigger. Enter the Gungeon has been an Epic Games Store free offer before, while God’s Trigger is a top-down shoot-em-up featuring lots of blood and explosions.

Also available for free today in the Epic Games Store is newly launched real-time strategy game A Total War Saga: Troy, but is only free for the next 24 hours.
