Light is pretty well known among visual novel fans for its previous series like Dies Irae, Silverio Ragnarok, and many more.

The new visual novel will be released on Nintendo Switch and the Japanese release date is January 27, 2022.

Below you can check out the first trailer and a few images from the accompanying press release.

The protagonist of the game is a boy named Hayato Ishido, an apprentice learning to exorcise evil spirits. He’s living a peaceful school life hanging out with his friends and making pocket money by crafting charms.

He’s secretly planning to give a gift to his sister to thank her for her support, but this mundane but happy routine is destroyed by the arrival of a mysterious attacker.

While the whole school is in disarray, Hayato is mortally wounded when trying to protect his friends. Just before his life is going to run out, he’s greeted by a girl who says to be an incarnation of a spirit sealed by his ancestors.

She says she’s one of the 13 demon generals who terrorized the capital in the Heian era and she proposes a contract to give him power.
