Of all the items throughout Star Wars, the bacta tank might be the most useful. This cylindrical tank is filled with bacta, a fluid that could accelerate healing and treat minor and major injuries alike. The first time we see this in use is in a deleted scene from The Empire Strikes Back.

After look is severely injured by a wampa ice creature on the frigid planet of Hoth, Luke Skywalker was placed in a bacta tank to recover from his wounds. Another significant tank is located in Darth Vader’s castle on Mustafar.

At the start of The Book of Boba Fett, the bounty hunter is seriously wounded by the Sarlacc pitt, as the creature partially digested him, leaving him drowning in acidic juices that caused serious external and internal injuries. After this, he’s also put through the grueling challenge of surviving the desert, first as a slave of the Tuskan Raiders and then as an equal.

When he does eventually capture Jabba the Hutt’s former palace, the bacta tank is used to help ease the bevy of external and internal wounds that plague Boba Fett. At the end of the first season, it is actually shown that the new Daimyo of Mos Espa has stopped using the tank, showing that he’s healed enough to where he feels comfortable only using it when necessary.
