How to Call Trico – The Last Guardian

Soon into your time with The Last Guardian, you and Trico will be working together to travel the world and solve puzzles. Much of this time will require you be able to call Trico to your aid. Luckily, getting your special bird-dog companion to join you is a simple button away.

To call Trico, all you’ll need to do is hit the R1 button. The small boy will yell out some sort of words, and Trico will attempt to get to your location. Keep in mind that certain situations will prevent Trico from joining you, and may require you do a bit of puzzle solving before the two of you can be reunited. In other cases, you’ll need to call Trico in order to re-position or lead it towards a certain area.
