The good news was confirmed in a pre-release FAQ on the game’s official website. You’ll likely need to make a WB Games account prior to playing if you don’t have one already. Then you’ll need to ask your friends for their usernames, joining a crossplay lobby that way. You can go to the Squad tab to select Matchmaking. From there, you’ll see the options: Private Squad, Open to Friends, and Open to Public.
You can also check out the Social tab to view Invites, friend’s online statuses, clans, and leaderboards. I would suggest checking out those leaderboards occasionally since they showcase the best of the best, both within your clan and globally.
