Pokemon GO: Why You Have to Keep Logging In

This article is over 8 years old and may contain outdated information

Pokemon GO is upon us, which means a wonderfully large portion of the population has been glued to their smartphone screen these past couple of days. Pokemon are real now, and it’s a whole new world of possibility. Unfortunately, a lot of our Pokemon Master adventure has been waiting for servers to come back online and signing into our Google or Pokemon Trainer Club accounts over and over and over.

Is there a way to stop the log in madness? Sadly, no. The reason you have to keep entering the good ol’ username/password combo is because the (extremely overloaded and struggling) newborn servers went down, logging everyone out. Niantic has even slowed down on releasing the game in other countries while stabilization continues to plague users. Once servers stabilize, though, we can spend less time typing email addresses and more time building our Rattata armies.
