How to Fix Payday 3 Network Error

The release of Payday 3’s open beta hasn’t gone quite smoothly. Players are reporting certain errors have been popping up. Though these can be annoying, we are aware of them and know the proper fix. If you’re getting hit with a network error, there are a few things you can try.

As Payday 3 has fully released, you have to expect some level of issues with its requirement of an online connection. If you are experiencing network problems or getting a notice about them, you don’t necessarily need to restart or reboot your system just yet, as it might be something you can’t exactly work on.

Your first step should be to check the game’s servers and the official Payday 3 Twitter account. At present, the developers are aware that things are messy but improving.

They made a tweet at 12:56 AM PT, showcasing a status update that has allowed users back in the lobby. You may still experience issues even if the servers are back online, but it seems like there will be fixes gradually added to the game as the team looks for more solutions.

If you continue to see error posts from this account, it is unlikely there will be anything you can do whenever these pop up. However, if everything is all clear and you are still having issues in a day or more, then you might need to try a couple of troubleshooting methods.

The first will obviously be restarting your console and internet connection. It is best to do both of these at the same so that you can boot your system back up after your internet has returned to force a new connection. There shouldn’t be a need to do anything more serious than this.

Players will most likely need to wait until the issues have been resolved, but it will take some time, given that the past fixes haven’t entirely addressed the problem. Hopefully, the servers will start to clear up as Starbreeze Studios continues to work on the errors.
