Each is basically the ability to play a different ball sports in the game, and they add an entertaining new competitive element to standard matches. Depending on which Toys you have available, you’ll be able to challenge your mates to spot of golf, basketball, or beach ball. Here’s how to use toys and play with your friends in Fortnite.

If you’re unsure how to actually acquire toys in Fortnite, it’s a simple as obtaining the Battle Pass and grinding out the required tiers for each item. The specific Tiers required for each Toy is as follows:

  • Basketball Toy – Tier 11
  • Golf Toy – Tier 27
  • Beach Ball – Tier 43
  • Fancy Golf Ball – Tier 59
  • Fancy Beach Ball – Tier 75
  • Fancy Basketball – Tier 91

Once you’ve got the Toys in your possession, to use them, you’ll need to equip the specific Toy in the same way you would an emote. Press down on the dpad, cycle over to the Toy, select it, and then you can do your thing.

The mini-games are really well integrated into the experience, and you’ll notice that in the case of golf, for example, any time you manage to hit a flag it will announce your effort on the kill feed. Just remember to keep it friendly out there; no shooting people in the face when they beat you to the hole or manage a 3-pointer, ok?
