Fortnite: Where to Place Alien Light Communication Device on Mountain Tops

As part of the Fortnite week 3 challenges, players will need to ‘Place an Alien Light Communication Device on Mountain Tops.’ The problem here lies in the fact that there are only specific mountain tops you can place the device on, and there are many mountains across the map. In this guide, we’ll show you where to place the Fortnite alien light communication device on mountain tops.

This challenge will go live on June 23, 2021 at 9:00am ET. Completing this challenge will earn players 30,000 XP to level up their Battle Pass, earn Battle Stars and unlock more cosmetics.

There are a few locations you can place these light communication devices, and we’ve listed each one below. You’ll know you’re in the right place when you find faint blue outlines of four cubes in a line.

Placing an Alien Light Communication Device on Mountain Tops in Fortnite

  1. Just east of the aprés ski lodge southwest of Misty Meadows, you’ll be able to place the light communication device on the snowy part of the mountain here.

2. Head immediately east, and you’ll find a mountain with a waterfall running down its north side. You can place the alien light communication device at the very top of this mountain.

3. Another of the alien light communication devices can be place on the mountainside just south of Catty Corner.

4. The fourth and final location you can place an alien light communication device is on the mountainside overlooking Retail Row. It’s not at the very top, but on the flat section closes to the named location.
