Automatically

Before anything, first, make sure you actually have the bipod underbarrel attachment equipped in your loadout. If you don’t, well, you won’t have a bipod obviously. OK, obvious stuff out of the way, once it’s attached, your bipod will automatically deploy once you are prone onto a stable surface. When the bipod is out, you’ll be able to fire with very limited recoil in return for limited mobility, making it perfect for camping out and trying to catch unsuspecting players.

Manually

The bipod can be deployed manually in Battlefield 2042, however, aside from going prone, it doesn’t attach itself to all surfaces in order to prevent accidental deployments that annoyed players in older games.

To deploy the bipod manually in Battlefield 2042 so you can stick the bipod onto a surface of your choosing, simply press down on the d-pad or X if you’re using a keyboard and mouse. With it out, you will stick to surfaces that can support a bipod.
