The game will follow a young woman and her companion as they explore vaults in an action-packed adventure.

Forza Horizon 3 (September 27)

If you were worried you wouldn’t have any racing games to play during the fall season, Forza Horizon 3 has you covered. Taking place in the Australian outback, Forza Horizon 3 has a map twice the size of its predecessor, and will even feature an online co-op campaign so you can race around with your friends.

Final Fantasy XV (September 30)

This game has been in development for nearly a decade, and it’ll finally see its release this fall. Final Fantasy XV follows the story of Noctis and his three friends as they attempt to resist the evil Niflheim empire and protect the crystal of the Lucis kingdom. Square Enix has spared no expense in the marketing for this one, so you can bet that you’ll be treated to a JRPG of epic proportions.

Yo-Kai Watch 2 (September 30)

The lively world of the Yo-Kai will return to the Nintendo 3DS this fall as Yo-Kai Watch 2 makes its debut in North America. Yo-Kai Watch 2 continues the story of the protagonist (male or female) as he or she explores the world, making friends with all sorts of different Yo-Kai.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice (September – TBA)

Everyone’s favorite defense attorney from Japanifornia will be making a return this fall as well. This time, Phoenix Wright will be traveling to Khura’in Village to visit Maya, and needless to say, he’ll also find himself caught up in all sorts of grisly murder cases. Spirit of Justice will also see the return of characters like Apollo Justice and Athena Cykes.

Mafia III (October 7)

Gears of War 4 (October 11)

Here’s a big one that lots of fans have been waiting for. Gears of War 4 will focus on Marcus Fenix’s son as he and his friends work together to deal with a new threat against humanity. Fans will be able to perform new fancy executions in this latest entry of the series.

Battlefield 1 (October 21)

EA and DICE make a return with the Battlefield series by placing it in a World War 1 setting. Players will get to engage their foes with bayonets and trench warfare, marking a slight departure from the first-person shooter games of late. It should be interesting to see how DICE tackles this tumultuous point in history with Battlefield 1.

Civilization VI (October 21)

We got to check out Civilization VI at E3 this month, and you can rest assured, knowing that this latest entry is just as good as, if not better than, Civilization V. Players will get to adopt new strategies in city defense, as well as explore a new technology tree to experiment with different improvements and resources.

The Last Guardian (October 25)

Here’s another big title that many didn’t think would ever see the light of day. The Last Guardian will be officially released this fall, and will take players on an adventure as they bond with Trico, the mysterious creature that graces the game’s gorgeous cover art.

World of Final Fantasy (October 25)

If you’re hungry for more Final Fantasy, Square Enix has you covered for this fall. World of Final Fantasy is a turn-based RPG that features all of your favorite series icons as chibi versions of themselves. It’s meant to be an introductory game that welcomes a younger generation of gamers to the world of Final Fantasy (ha).

Titanfall 2 (October 28)

Its predecessor was exclusive to the Xbox One, but Titanfall 2 will be coming to the PS4 this fall as well. Titanfall 2 will feature a full, single-player campaign that aims to explore the relationship between a pilot and a mech. Of course, it’ll also come with plenty of multiplayer action that allows you to blow things up with your friends.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (November 4)

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare takes the series to space, and players will get to engage in some intense first-person shootouts while battling the laws of gravity in outer space. Infinity Ward’s latest crack at the Call of Duty series will have players battling for the Solar System as antagonistic forces attempt to take over.

Dishonored 2 (November 11)

Dishonored 2 is the highly anticipated follow-up to Arkane’s Dishonored, which released on the PS3 and Xbox 360 some years ago. Players will take control of a grown-up Emily Kaldwin, as she and Corvo Attano attempt to protect their kingdom, which has come under threat once again.

Gran Turismo Sport (November 15)

PS4 owners will be getting their fair share of racing action this fall as well. As always, Gran Turismo Sport aims to be one of the most realistic driving simulators in the market, and it looks like this latest iteration of the series is gonna get pretty close. Though GT Sport will not feature dynamic weather cycles, the devs have promised that it will have better graphical fidelity and frame rate consistency to support the high-speed racing action.

Watch Dogs 2 (November 15)

Watch Dogs 2 seems to have completely abandoned the darker and more serious tones of its predecessor, which is a great thing. Set in San Francisco, players will take control of Marcus Holloway and amass large numbers of virtual followers and resources to take down organizations in the city.

Pokemon Sun and Moon (November 18)

The Pokemon series will be making its return on the Nintendo 3DS this fall with the release of Pokemon Sun and Moon. Dead Rising 4 (December 6)

Frank West is back in a big way, and Dead Rising fans will once again get to step into his journalist shoes as he beats up hordes of zombies this holiday season. We don’t have a lot of details about Dead Rising 4’s story just yet, but it’s definitely great to see an iconic character from the series make a grand return. He’s covered wars, y’know?
