Destiny 2 Forsaken: Top 10 Best Exotic Armor Pieces

Destiny 2 Forsaken Best Exotic Armor

Pure skill will only be able to take you so far in a game like Destiny 2. Whether you are playing the campaign, facing A.I in PvE, or doing battle in the Crucible, challenging other players in PvP, it is important to have the best exotic armor in Destiny 2 when headed into battle.

The trouble is that the game features a ton of different exotics, with some only belonging to a certain class. So in no particular order, here are the 10 best exotic armor pieces in Destiny 2.

Ophidian Aspect

Whether it is against A.I opponents or other players, speed is always key to winning a firefight in Destiny 2. Ophidian Aspect gives any Warlock the edge when equipped, thanks to the insanely quick weapon ready and reload speed that comes alongside the gauntlet’s Cobra Totemic perk, and it helps it make it on this list of the best exotic armor in Destiny 2.

The quick speed you receive from this exotic works well in tandem with the melee perks as well. Use the increased melee range from Cobra Totemic with the melee damage grenade cooldowns reduction granted by Impact Induction to deal damage from short and long range, making for a dangerous and quick combo, which is why it’s on our list of the best exotic armor in Destiny 2.

Chromatic Fire

Fatebringer is one of the most fun guns to use in the original Destiny, thanks in part to the explosion damage it dealt with each shot. While it may not be in Destiny 2, Chromatic Fire provides a work around for Warlocks, which helps it make our list of the best exotic armor in Destiny 2. For an explosive good time, be sure to pair this chest piece with Cayde-6’s beloved hand cannon, the Ace of Spades,

Using these two in tandem stacks the solar explosion from the Ace of Spades alongside the elemental explosions that occur while using any Kinetic weapons via the Crystalline Transistor perk. It’s important to note that, alongside being powerful, Chromatic Fire is fabulous looking as well, adding incentive to equip it, which is why it’s on our list of the best exotic armor in Destiny 2.

Destiny 2 Forsaken Best Exotic Armor

Fr0st-EE5

Fr0st-EE5 is always a reliable set of leg armor to go within Destiny 2 and is one of the few pieces that is still as efficient as it was as before Forsaken. While exotics like Orpheus Rig received a slight perk reduction, Fr0st-EE5 is still amazing at helping Hunters dodge and reset firefights thanks to their speed.

On top of an increased turn radius with Traction, this exotic grants Hunters increased grenade, melee, and dodge regeneration while sprinting. Anytime you dodge, your sprint speed increases, meaning these perks play and stack off each other considerably well, making you difficult to hit or catch in a fight. Rapid Cooldown also recharges grenade and melee cooldown while running, which you’ll likely always be doing subconsciously anyway.

Raiden Flux

No one is ever going to complain about their Super lasting too long, especially when it last long enough to take down a boss single-handedly, it’s because of this that Raiden Flux makes our list of the best exotic armor in Destiny 2. Hunters who equip Raiden Flux can do just that thanks to its Synapse Junctions ability. Whenever Arc Staff is active while wearing this exotic chest armor, damage output and duration will increase with each successful hit. As a result, the Super lasts around 20 seconds, staggering even bosses throughout each hit. This means that you’ll deal out heavy damage while taking very little, which is why it’s on our list of the best exotic armor in Destiny 2.

Phoenix Protocol

Warlocks, have you ever wanted the powerful perks that come alongside the Hunter’s Orpheus Rig for yourself? Then be sure to use Phoenix Protocol. Similar to the Uncanny Arrows perk for Hunters, this chest piece features a perk called Battle-Hearth. Anytime you activate Well of Radiance while wearing Phoenix Protocol, all kills and assist you make while standing inside of it grants your Guardian Super energy lightning fast. This is productive in PvE for Strikes that feature a lot of adds, especially since your friends can help out as well, and because of this, it makes our list of the best exotic armor in Destiny 2.

An Insurmountable Skullfort is one of the best exotic armors in Destiny 2, here’s why.

Striker Titan melee builds should look no further than An Insurmountable Skullfort for an exotic helm. Thanks to Transfusion Matrix, kills with Arc melee abilities trigger health regeneration and restore melee energy. Shoulder charge kills will also instantly refresh your Titan’s melee charge.

If you pair these perks with the Seismic Strike subclass, you’ll be able to refresh grenades almost instantaneously as well thanks to Aftershocks. This combination is great for stacking adds or chaining kills in crucible, which is why it’s one of the best PvP exotics, and one of the best exotic armor in Destiny 2.

Hallowfire Heart

Hallowfire Heart is a perfect chest piece for Titans that love using the Sunbreaker’s solar abilities, especially melee and grenades, which is why it’s on our list of the best exotic armor in Destiny 2.. This exotic’s perk, Sunfire Furnace, greatly improves the cooldown for grenades and Melting Point. While you may be tempted to use your Super, holding off on doing so with this piece active is a better route, as the two abilities mentioned above will deal out more damage over time than the hammers would, it’s because of this utility that it makes it one of the best exotic armor in Destiny 2.

One-Eyed Mask

Alongside looking awesome, the One-Eyed Mask is also an amazing Titan helmet, as it grants you some insane buffs for successfully using its main perk, Vengeance, and it makes it one of the best exotic armor in Destiny 2. This perk marks a single enemy that damages you. Once marked, track them down and kill them to get a full heal, an overshield, and increased damage for your Titan. Bow users also gain a nifty edge with the Bow Targeting perk, which improves target acquisition, accuracy, and aim-down-sight speeds for Bows. For perspective, this armor essentially combines the perks of Devour, The Ram, and Foetracer all into one juicy piece, which is why it’s one of the best exotic armor in Destiny 2.

Nezarec’s Sin

Voidwalkers delight, as this exotic helmet is perfect for recharging your abilities, especially your Super, which is why it made the cut for the best exotic armor in Destiny 2. It takes only about 60 seconds to recharge your Warlock’s Nova Bomb when going against opponents in PvE with Nezarec’s Sin equipped, which is insanely quick. All you have to do is activate devour. Once you do, killing four enemies with void abilities or weapons in rapid succession grants gives you your grenade back instantaneously. Stack these together and enough orbs of light drop to where you can get a brand new Super in just under a minute. Combine these with Void Uriel’s for PvP and you’ll be a grenade recharging tank that’ll be hard to take down.
