13 Games Running Devilishly Exciting Halloween Events Right Now

DC Universe Online

Halloween, Dc Universe Online, Daybreak Games, Events, Features

Dates: Oct. 1 – Oct. 31

DC Universe Online is celebrating Halloween with The Witching Hour. To participate, heroes should visit the East End safehouse in Gotham City and speak with the Phantom Stranger and villains should go to the Tap Room in Burnley to speak to Tala. During the event, players will receive all new feats and collections along with spooky Halloween-themed decorations and items for your base. There is a level requirement of 10 in order to participate. For more information, visit the event page.

Overwatch

Dates: Oct. 9 – Oct. 31

Overwatch’s Halloween Terror is back with new skins, emotes, intros and an enhanced version of Junkenstein’s Revenge. This year, Brigitte and Tracer join the PvE horde-style game mode that puts you against a mad scientist version of Junkrat. Along with the new Halloween skins, players will be able to purchase or win all of the previous spooky skins and items from previous years. To see all the new and old skins, check out our gallery.

Lord of the Rings Online

Dates: Oct. 17 – Nov. 6,

Want to celebrate Halloween in Middle-earth? If so, you’ll be happy to know the Harvestmath Festival is now live in Lord of the Rings Online. Players can enjoy festive activities like picking pumpkins and bobbing for apples. Daily quests and new Halloween-themed items will be available and players can explore the Haunted Barrow, go through hay mazes, solve riddles and more.

H1Z1

Dates: Oct. 23 – Nov. 6

H1Z1 is offering a free battle pass for it’s Hauntfest event that players will automatically receive for logging on during the event dates. Players can increase their Hauntfest event tier by completing challenges or increasing their season level, and doing so will earn them Treat Crates. Collecting Treat Crates can earn players a variety of Halloween costumes. Additionally, the event includes a new arcade mode where candy is spread across the map, giving players a “sugar rush” that increases their movement speed. Destiny 2

Dates: Oct. 16 – Nov. 6

The Festival of the Lost has returned to Destiny 2, offering players not only new masks and exclusive items, but also a new event called the Haunted Forest. In this mode, players have 15 minutes to dive into the forest and “clear out the Nightmares lying in wait.” The event also contains a new quest line as well as Ephemeral Engrams for filling up your XP bar. EverQuest

EverQuest, Halloween, Events, Nights of the Dead

Dates: Oct. 6 – Nov. 6

EverQuest is celebrating Halloween with its Nights of the Dead event, giving players new quests and items to enjoy. Here are some of the highlights:

  • Spooky Sally and Haunted Jack will have costumes and candy for adventurers in their hometowns!
  • Nights of the Dead quests and achievements from previous years have returned
  • Various Nights of the Dead themed helmets will be dropping across Norrath
  • A number of spooky scary seasonal items will be available in the Marketplace

EverQuest II

EverQuest II, Halloween, events, 2018, features

Dates: Oct. 1 – Nov. 1

Nights of the Dead has also returned to EverQuest II. For the rest of the month, players can enjoy hunting ghosts, buying Halloween themed items from merchants, new crafting items, a new Grave Memories collection, new quests and more. Fortnite

Fortnite, Halloween, season 6, 2018, events, Epic Games

Dates: Unknown

While we don’t yet know what Halloween events might be in store for Fortnite, many parts of season 6 have a spooky vibe to them. Additions like a corn field, the return of the Skull Trooper skin and the addition of Shadow Stones all add to a dark atmosphere in the game. There have also been some leaks regarding Halloween skins, but nothing official as of yet. Stay tuned to Twinfinite to hear about whatever Halloween events, skins or activities that may arrive in the coming weeks.

Rocket League

Dates: Oct. 15 – Nov. 5

Rocket League’s Haunted Hollows event launched a few days ago bringing new decals, car toppers, wheels and other items. During the event, players will receive “Candy Corn” for playing online matches that can be redeemed for Halloween-themed items. There’s also a “Gold Pumpkin” that “contains one Customization Item from the Nitro, Turbo or Player’s Choice Crates.” You can read more about the event and watch the trailer here.

Splatoon 2

Dates: Oct. 19 – Oct. 21

Nintendo is getting in the Halloween spirit with a variety of changes coming to Splatoon 2. There will be a splatfest that lets players choose between “trick” or “treat” as well as re-designs and decorations placed around stages and the Inkopolis Square. Hearthstone

Dates: Oct. 17 – Oct. 31

Hallow’s End is back in Blizzard’s hit card game, Hearthstone. Logging in while the event is running will earn you a free golden Witch’s Cauldron card. The event also features a new tavern brawl with the Headless Horseman, a special dual class arena, a new paladin hero and more. Dungeons & Dragons Online

Dates: Oct. 2 – Nov. 4

Dungeons & Dragons Online players can now log on and experience the Night Revels event. The event features changes to Delera’s Graveyard, a new hub for accessing Night Revels content and two new dungeon challenges. PlanetSide 2

PlanetSide 2, halloween, events, nanite of the living dead, 2018, features

Dates: Oct. 9 – Oct. 31

The fifth Nanite of the Living Dead has returned in PlanetSide 2. Halloween-themed decorations and new items for purchase are spread across Auraxis from now until the end of the month.
