When WandaVision was revealed as one of the backbones of Disney and Marvel’s newest foray into television, many were skeptical. Could two supporting characters carry an entire series, especially considering one of them has been canonically dead for a while now?

While it was a somewhat rocky start, the answer was a resounding yes. WandaVision created a formula that rewarded fans for their patience every week, slowly introducing questions and answers alongside a theme-of-the-week sitcom style that left everyone wanting more.

Even though the season was only nine episodes, you definitely aren’t going to want to miss the conclusion to WandaVision. The final episode is sure to have huge implications and ramifications for not only Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness but for the entire future of Marvel as a whole.

If that isn’t enough for you, or you simply want a little more insight, you can also check out Marvel Studios Assembled: The Making of WandaVision on March 12.

Raya and the Last Dragon (March 5)

While Disney has certainly been associated heavily with Marvel in recent years, to many fans it will always be a studio that reinvented animation. Case in point: Raya and the Last Dragon, which embodies everything that fans love about animated creativity as it tells the beautiful story of a world where humans and dragons attempt to live in harmony.

When the dragons sacrifice themselves to save humanity, it’s now up to a young warrior, Raya, to track down the mystical Last Dragon to put a stop to the monstrous Druun and bring peace to the world.

Like any Disney Animated film, what we’ve seen of Raya and the Last Dragon has been gorgeous so far. Landscapes range from lively cities to open deserts to lush forests, accentuated by a magnificent color palette and life-like animation.

The comedy is there as well, as Raya and the Last Dragon has everything from a sassy little girl that controls monkeys to a huge, one-eyed warrior that loves butt-kickery.

Keep in mind that you will only be able to view Raya and the Last Dragon if you are a member of Disney+’s Premier Access program, which is $29.99 with a Disney+ subscription.

Falcon and the Winter Soldier (March 19)

If someone had said a few years ago that Falcon and the Winter Soldier would be two of the central characters in the MCU, they probably would have gotten some strange looks. Yet, here we are, right on the precipice of a television show devoted to Steve Rodger’s two best friends.

Falcon and the Winter Soldier picks up shortly after the events of Avengers Endgame, with Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes teaming up to take down a group of anti-patriots known as the Flag-Smashers. While that name may sound comical at first, it gets deadly serious when it’s revealed that Baron Helmut Zemo has returned as their leader.

Zemo was a standout villain in Captain America: Civil War, as he implemented a sinister plan that turned the Avengers against one another. It is going to take everything in Sam and Bucky’s arsenal to take down this super-villain, which means they’re going to need to get on the same page.

While we’ve only seen a handful of interactions between the two throughout the franchise, there is no doubt that Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan have solid and hilarious chemistry. Some of the funniest moments in the MCU came as a result of their banter, whether that is fighting Spider-Man together or fighting each other for more room in a small car.

Of all of the releases in March, Falcon and the Winter Soldier has to be a priority on any Marvel fan’s list, as it will really test as to whether Bucky and Sam can be two of the key pillars of Phase 4

The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers (March 26)

Any 90s kid can tell you that the Mighty Ducks were awesome. Whether it was the animated show or the live-action movies, this franchise introduced many to hockey that wouldn’t have otherwise given it a second thought.

Now, almost three decades later, Disney+ is bringing the hockey series back, this time in a live-television format. The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers follows Evan, a 12-year-old kid who decides to form his own squad after being cut from the powerhouse Mighty Ducks junior hockey team.

With the help of former Ducks coach Gordan Bombay, the new squad looks to take down the former underdogs, reminding them why they should never underestimate anyone in hockey.

Here is to hoping that The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers is just the hit of nostalgia we need to start the early months of 2021 off just right. Go Ducks!
