Earning Points in Nintendo Switch Sports
Before you can redeem customization rewards in Nintendo Switch Sports, you need to first earn points. You can only earn points by playing online, which you need a Nintendo Switch Online in order to do.
On the Nintendo Switch Sports title screen, select “Play Globally,” which is the first option. You will connect to the Internet, and then you will be able to select which sport you want to search for a match.
You will earn points naturally by playing sports online. The number of points you earn depends on a number of factors and on the sport you pick. You will earn some points simply for playing, but you also get win bonuses and other multipliers if you played well. Also, longer games, such as bowling and soccer, tend to earn more points, especially if you play well.
You may notice that in the upper right-hand corner of the sports selection screen, your points are counted out of 100. This means that once you accumulate 100 points, you earn a reward.
Spending Points on Rewards
Once you’ve reached 100 points, the game will automatically bring you to a screen where you can earn a reward. First, you’ll be able to choose which collection of items you want a reward from. These collections are only available for a limited number of days before they can no longer be redeemed.
Choose which collection you want a reward from, and you will receive a random item from that set. You won’t receive duplicates of any of the items, and once you receive all 12 items from a collection, you will receive a completion bonus.
To earn another reward, simply gain another 100 points while playing sports online globally.
