FFXIV Endwalker: How to Get Lunar Lamenter

Final Fantasy XIV has just gotten its fourth and latest expansion, titled Endwalker, and it’s an exciting one. It wraps up the story arc surrounding the conflict between Eorzea and Garlemald, and brings players to new locales like Old Sharlayan and Radz-at-Han. There are plenty of new materials for crafters and gatherers to play around with as well, so you can expect to sink hundreds of hours into the new content. Here’s how to get the Lunar Lamenter in FFXIV Endwalker.

Getting Lunar Lamenter in FFXIV Endwalker

The Lunar Lamenter is one of the new fish you can catch in Endwalker as part of the new chain of Studium Delivery quests. Assuming you already have your Fisher at level 80 and above, you’ll be able to speak with Qih Aliapoh in Old Sharlayan after completing the MSQ titled Sound the Bell, School’s In. By taking on Studium Delivery quests, you can earn a nice chunk of experience for your crafters and gatherers, so we definitely recommend grabbing these as soon as you can.

The level 90 Studium Delivery quest, Pastures New, will task you with obtaining a fish called the Lunar Lamenter. You can’t catch it outside of the quest, which means that this fish is purely for progression purposes and can’t be used for anything else.

Once you’ve accepted Pastures New, speak with the merchant NPC at Bestway Burrows to purchase the Grey Worm bait (the Versatile Lure will also work if you have it), then head to X:22, Y:32 in Mare Lamentorum to start fishing. The fishing hole is called the Frozen Fissure, and this seems to be the only place you can catch the Lunar Lamenter.

Just like all other fish in FFXIV, catching the Lunar Lamenter will require some RNG luck on your part, so just keep trying until you eventually manage to hook it.

That’s all you need to know about how to get the Lunar Lamenter in FFXIV Endwalker. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
