The five new games added to the service are as follows:

  • Altered Beast
  • ToeJam & Earl
  • Dynamite Headdy
  • Sword of Vermilion
  • Thunder Force II

This comes shortly after Paper Mario was added to the Nintendo 64 online library and Banjo-Kazooie was announced for the same library next month.

You’ll need the Expansion Pack upgrade to the base online membership in order to play these Sega Genesis games and all of the Nintendo 64 games that this service offers. It costs $49.99 per year for an individual membership and $79.99 for a family plan of up to eight people.

This is the first batch of Sega Genesis games that have been added to the collection since the service launched earlier this year in October. While Nintendo promises that more games will continue to be added to these two libraries over time, there is no set release schedule for how many or how often that will happen.
