Getting Sacrificial Hearts in Vanguard Zombies

A Sacrificial Heart is earned each time you complete a round in Vanguard Zombies. A round starts and ends when heading through a portal and then completing the objective and returning to the Stalingrad map.

You can check how many Sacrificial Hearts you have by looking at the number just to the right of your Salvage in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen.

Spending Sacrificial Hearts at the Altar of Covenants

Once you’ve got at least one Sacrificial Heart in Vanguard Zombies, you can spend it by heading to the Altar of Covenants on the north side of the fountain in Fountain Square in the Stalingrad hub area. It’s also right next to the Pack-a-Punch machine if you need another reference points.

When you find the Altar of Covenants, press Square/ X to interact with it. You’ll then be given three different Covenant Abilities you can purchase. Simply press X/A on the ability you want to purchase and it’ll be added to your current loadout.

You can replace a Covenant Ability you purchase with another at any time. To do this, select the ability you want and then choose the slot of the ability you want it to replace. Press X/A and you’ll replace the old ability with the replacement.
