Upgrading your boat in Moonglow Bay is something you’ll do over at the Boat Shop, which you can find along the waterfront about halfway up the beachfront. It’s quite literally a dock on the water, so you can’t miss it. As you can see in the image above, there are a number of different upgrades you can retrofit onto your boat, from increasing its speed to reinforcing the hull so it can take more knocks and bumps before needing repair.
Later in the game, you might consider fitting a proper cabin to the boat so you can stay out overnight and fish at different times of the day without having to return home when you’re sleepy.
It’s also worth noting that in addition to the Boat Shop, the game’s main storyline sometimes requires you to visit Abi over at Abi’s Scraps for a special upgrade required for certain quests. If you’ve been tasked with fitting something to the ship then make sure you check in with Abi after visiting the Boat Shop.
