How to Get Memory Fragments in Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles

Memory Fragments can only be obtained when playing through the Story Mode. As soon as the game starts, you’ll be forced to start the prologue of the storyline. After this, the game will introduce you to this little collectible.

Memory Fragments are small white stones that glow with a faint rainbow hue. They can only be found in the non-combat sections of the Story Mode when the game allows you to walk around freely.

If you’re having trouble finding them, the fragments will be indicated by colored stone icons on the map, making them hard to miss.

Watching Memory Fragments

Once you pick up one of these glowing stones, the game will let you know that you can watch the clip that it corresponds to. In order to watch the clip, return to the Storyline menu, then select one of the blue film strip icons.

The Memory Fragment clips are scenes from the Demon Slayer anime that are shown alongside a bit of narration from various characters. They show important moments that didn’t make it into the main Story Mode, so they add more context for those who haven’t actually watched the show or read the manga yet.

Be sure to watch these fragments after finding them because, if you watch enough of them, you’ll unlock Academy Tanjiro and Academy Nezuko to use as playable characters.
