Get up close with melee attacks in Back 4 Blood

At any given time, you can use your hands for a Bash attack by clicking in the right analog stick or the V button on your keyboard. This does little damage to the Ridden, but at least pushes them away so you can get some breathing room.

You can, of course, switch out your sidearm for any of the melee weapons that are found in the game. You can wield a hatchet, a machete, a knife, or go for something bigger like the bat or fire axe, with these weapons, you can look forward to doing some real damage with melee in Back 4 Blood.

The controls remain the same, clicking in the right stick or the V button, but this time, the Ridden will be no match for the sharp edges. Just be warned, you do not want to go up against the special Ridden with just a melee weapon. Using melee weapons also expend your stamina, so if you need to make a quick escape, that might become a problem as well.
