Developed by Norsfell, Tribes of Midgard is a brand new top-down action RPG with a viking-themed setting. You can play the game solo, or work together with up to nine other players to protect your village from the Jotunns that are slowly making their way over to destroy the Seed of Yggdrasil. The open-world is pretty big, and you’ll definitely want to be able to get around quickly. Here’s how to fast travel in Tribes of Midgard.
Fast Traveling in Tribes of Midgard
The open-world in Tribes of Midgard is full of things to see and do, and you’ll need to explore far and wide to gain the necessary resources for upgrading and strengthening your camp. However, you also need to return to the village each evening to protect it from the Helthings that invade. This is where the fast travel mechanic comes in.
Thankfully, it’s very easy to teleport straight back to your village no matter where you are. All you have to do is hold down the right stick and press the R3 button for a few seconds, and you’ll be able to fast travel back home. This is extremely handy if you happen to be far away from the village with no fast travel point nearby, or if you find yourself in trouble and need to teleport elsewhere quickly.
Do be warned, however, that fast traveling this way comes with a long cooldown, so use it sparingly and only when necessary.
You can get around this cooldown by making use of the shrines you find in the open-world instead. Shrines are indicated by the large stones you find while exploring, and you can hold down the X or A button to activate them as a new fast travel point you can make use of in the game. These shrines will let you teleport between them, and also allow you to go back to your village.
There’s also a shrine located in the southwestern end of your village, and you should definitely make use of that to quickly teleport to any other locations you’ve already discovered during your run.
That’s all you need to know about how to fast travel in Tribes of Midgard. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
