After a long wait, New Pokemon Snap is finally available on the Nintendo Switch and it’s every bit as magical as you’ve probably hoped it would be. Being able to ride through natural wildlife and take cute photos of various Pokemon doing cute things is nothing but pure fun and magic, and you can even take on optional requests to make your journey a little more exciting as well. Here’s how to complete the Staredown for Venusaur request in New Pokemon Snap.
Completing the Staredown for Venusaur Request in Pokemon Snap
After snapping a photo of Venusaur and adding it to your Pokedex, you’ll be able to take on the Staredown for Venusaur request from Todd back at camp. This is one of the trickier requests you’ll get in New Pokemon Snap as you also need to lure an Arbok to the target area, but we’ll walk you through it.
Start the Jungle level in the daytime at star level 3 or higher, and wait till you get to the swampy area where you’ll spot Arbok and Wooper. Get Arbok’s attention by throwing a Fluffruit at it, and it’ll get distracted.
From here, you want to start luring Arbok over to you with more Fluffruits until you get closer to the tree where Venusaur is. Once Arbok gets close to the tree, start throwing Fluffruits at the tree and in Venusaur’s direction. When you have Venusaur in sight, throw a Fluffruit at it, followed by an Illumina Orb.
Once it wakes up, quickly tap the scan button to get its attention and it’ll automatically notice the approaching Arbok. This will cause both Pokemon to engage in an intense staredown. Snap the photo of the both of them staring at each other, then turn it in back at camp.
One thing to note is that while Venusaur is meant to be the focus of the photo, it still needs to include Arbok in the background as well.
That’s all you need to know about how to complete the Staredown for Venusaur request in New Pokemon Snap. Be sure to check our guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
