How to Get Dogs & Cats in Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town
To get either a dog or a cat, you’ll need to go to the Animal Store found in the bottom left-hand corner of Olive Town itself.
Speak to Bridget behind the counter on the right as you walk in, and select the option to ‘Buy Pet.’
You’ll now be given a list of all the dog and cat breeds you can buy. We’ve listed all of these (as well as their prices) below:
- Shiba Inu – 2,000G
- Black Shiba Inu – 2,000G
- White Shiba Inu – 2,000G
- Pomeranian – 2,000G
- Labrador Retriever – 3,000G
- Bernese Mountain Dog – 3,000G
- Siberian Husky – 3,000G
- Border Collie – 3,000G
- Brown Striped Mix Cat – 2,000G
- Black Mix Cat – 2,000G
- White Mix Cat – 2,000G
- American Shorthair – 2,000G
- Scottish Fold – 2,000G
- Calico – 2,000G
- Persian – 3,000G
- Maine Coon – 3,000G
Simply select the cat or dog you want to buy and then press A and confirm you want to purchase it. As long as you’ve got the money, you’ll complete the transaction.
What Pets Do
Your dog or cat will largely just run about around your house on your farm. You can pet them and give them treats, and use the leash given to you early on in the game to take them for a walk.
There’s even a Pet Derby that takes place, requiring you to complete a quick fetch mini-game. Winning the Pet Derby nets you a gold trophy and 5,000 G.
