Developed by FourQuarters and published by Devolver Digital, Loop Hero is a brand new deck-building rogue-lite RPG that just got released last week. It features a compelling gameplay loop where you have to place down cards to battle enemies, farm resources, and eventually fight tough bosses to progress. If you’re wondering whether boss rewards are permanent in Loop Hero, here’s what you need to know.
Are Boss Rewards Permanent in Loop Hero?
Each time you beat a boss, a selection of three different traits will pop up on-screen, and you’ll have to pick one. The short answer is, yes, these are permanent in the sense that you’ve officially unlocked a new trait that you can potentially get when your character levels up.
However, the trait is not effective immediately when you choose it.
Basically, each time your character defeats enemies, you gain a little bit of experience indicated in the yellow bar beneath your HP.
When you level up, you get to select a trait that will last you for the duration of that expedition.
The trait reward that you get from defeating the boss will get added to the trait pool, which means that you have a chance of getting it when you level up in your future expeditions.
While it is an excellent game, the wording for some of the descriptions in Loop Hero can be really obscure and confusing at times, especially with the boss rewards, which offer little to no explanation at all.
So there you have it. That’s all you need to know about the boss rewards being permanent in Loop Hero. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
