Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War’s latest Zombies mode, Outbreak, released last week. The mode blends the classic zombies action with large-scale maps and objectives-based gameplay, but to make it far you’re going to want to get yourself a Wonder Weapon in Outbreak.
Wonder Weapons are the most powerful weapons in Outbreak, offering up sci-fi takes on some of the game’s classic weapons. We’ve listed all three Wonder Weapons you can get in Outbreak below:
- Rai K-84
- Ray Gun
- DIE Shockwave
How to Unlock All Wonder Weapons in Outbreak Zombies
There are four different ways you can obtain the Wonder Weapons in Outbreak Zombies, listed below.
Mystery Box
First off, you can try your luck at the Mystery Box. This is marked on your map by a box with a ‘?’ over it. This costs 950 Essence to use, and will grant you one random weapon.
With the weapon you get being random, this is a bit risky and doesn’t guarantee you a Wonder Weapon, but it’s worth a try if you’ve got the points leftover.
Opening Loot Chests to Get Wonder Weapons
Dotted around the Outbreak maps, you’ll find various Loot Chests (pictured below). These also make a beep-booping noise followed by a laugh when you’re close by, so listen out for them.
These Loot Chests can contain Armor Plates, Perks, Scrap Parts, Weapons and so much more.
You want to keep your eyes peeled for golden Loot Chests that are locked when you find them. They can be unlocked by completing a quick challenge, and will offer the best rewards upon completion.
Reaching ‘Legendary’ Rewards on Trials
The best way we’ve found to getting the Wonder Weapons in Outbreak is to grind out the Trials in-game. The Trial Machine is marked on your map in-game, and allows you to take on mini timed objectives.
The better you complete these objectives and the more you complete, the higher your reward rarity. This goes from Common, right up to Legendary. To get a Wonder Weapon, you want to keep grinding these Trials out until you reach Legendary.
Again, there’s some RNG involved in the Trial machine rewards, but if you wait until you’ve got Legendary rarity rewards, you’ve got a much higher chance of getting a Wonder Weapon in Outbreak.
