Are There Mounts in Valheim? Answered

Put simply, no, there aren’t any mounts in Valheim. While you can tame boars and wolves, there’s no ability to catch and domesticate anything that is rideable in the game.

For the time being, the only way to explore the map quickly is to craft a Raft or Longboat. Given that Valheim is a Viking-themed game, the sea is basically your main highway to travel at speed.

Of course, you can also build Portals, which act as a fast travel system to teleport players instantly from point A to B.

Finally, it’s worth keeping in mind that Valheim is an Early Access product right now, meaning the game is a work in progress that the developers are sure to improve over time. That may or may not mean the addition of new content such as rideable mounts, though we’ve not heard anything about that yet.

For now, then, that’s everything there is to know about whether there are mounts in Valheim. Sorry if it’s not the news you wanted to hear!
