How to Defeat The Hunter

The Hunter is the first antagonist you meet in the game. You’ll have to escape from him without getting shot when he first notices you.

To do this, simply hide behind all of the boxes that pop up along your route as he is chasing you. Make sure you’re behind one of them when he shoots to not get killed.

There will be enough time to make it to each of the boxes throughout the level between each shot, as it takes him a while to reload. You’ll eventually need to jump down and hide in a sewer runoff. the Hunter will search for you but will pass by.

Hold hands with Six by pressing R2 to guide her. Avoid the Hunter’s lamplight, as it’ll get you killed immediately if you’re moving while in it. Crouch through the grass and you’ll run into a crow. As soon as you do head back to the left or stand still to avoid being spotted by the Hunter’s light.

Follow behind the Hunter until you reach the hole. Head to the edge of the brush and wait for the light to pass over you. As soon as it does, crouch walk toward the hole and jump in. There will be a small section where you will lose him, but he pops back up a few minutes after.

Second Chase

Just like the first chase section, hide behind the boxes when he shoots. When you make it to the house and start climbing the side, be sure to hide behind the tv so that he wastes a shot and needs to reload till you get to the top.

Run across the top of the attic and avoid the gunshots. Slide down the awning and into the water, then hide in the divet to the left. When he starts to walk across the dock, hug the wall so that his light wont shine on you.

Hold L2 to dive under the dock to the right. Be sure to duck when the light shines on you in the water in the next section until you make it to the stump.

Repeat the process until you come upon an area that you jump up onto just to the left. Once you hop on the land, push the log over. Dive in the water and hold L2 in the section that doesn’t have the log.

Climb up the area to the right and repeat the next section has you hide behind boxes again to avoid dying. Jump into the shack and pull the shotgun off the wall. Pick it up with the Six and shoot the Hunter to kill them.
