While Tarsier Studios’ latest game is a fairly linear affair, there’s a stronger focus on exploration than the original. In turn, that means there’s also a few more collectibles to find along the way. Here’s how to get all hats in Little Nightmares 2 and a breakdown of all hat locations.
How to Get All Hats in Little Nightmares 2
There are 12 hats to collect in Little Nightmares 2, with the majority of them scattered evenly throughout each of its levels. That said, you won’t have to go looking for all of them. Mono is wearing one from the very start of the game, for example, while another is earned as a reward for completing the game (Fedora hat).
It should be noted that in order to get all 12 hats you will need to purchase the game’s DLC. This is because the Mokujin Mask is exclusive to the DLC (you will start with the hat if you purchased it).
All Little Nightmares 2 Hat Locations
Below, we’ll note the name of each hat and where to find it.
The Paper Bag
You will start the game with this hat in the default version.
Gnome
You’ll encounter the gnome in the attic section of the first chapter. Follow it into the next room, up to a higher floor, then into a candlelit room to get the hat. There are a few basic puzzles to solve along the way.
Raccoon
First Chapter, inside one of the house’s rooms. After entering the kitchen, travel right, through the door and into the hallway, then walk down the hallway and go left.
Yellow Rain Hat
The final hat to find in Chapter 1 is the Yellow Rain Hat. As you make your escape from the hunter you should see it suspended in a cage above. Simply climb up and jump on the cage to make it fall down.
Soccer Ball Mask
Second chapter, just outside the school’s main entrance in a dumpster.
Tin Can
Inside the school there’s a library, and it’s here you’ll find the Tin Can hat. You will need to move the ladder to the right, then climb up to grab it.
Teddy Bear Hat
Chapter three takes you to the hospital, which is where you’ll find the Teddy Bear Hat. Specifically, in the nursery, which is just after the x-ray room.
Bandage Hat
Also found in chapter three is the Bandage Hat, which you’ll find in the Morgue area. Simply open the fridge door beside the table to find it.
Mail Carrier’s Hat
Found in chapter four. There is a secret passageway in the Pale City mailroom. Enter and walk to the left until you see it.
Newsie Hat
Chapter four, Pale City. You’ll find yourself in a store. Push the shopping cart over to the shelf and then find the hat in the far left corner of the room.
