Once you reach the third and final tier of the Lantern Rite Tales, one of the new quests will task you with solving three Lantern Riddles in Qingce Village in order to progress. The hints themselves are fairly obvious, but if you’re having a bit of trouble with them, we’re here to help you out.
The first clue is: Rock-hard flesh and bamboo bones. Lives in the city with thousands of clones. Pitch-black sea marks the end of its flight. Within its body hides resplendent light.
The answer is: Xiao Lantern.
The second clue is: A bamboo tube with powdered stone. Burns in the night as bright as the sun. It roars like thunder, very frightening. But it summons ash instead of lightning.
The answer is: Firecrackers.
The third and final clue is: Watch me rise from Wanmin and ride the wind to Jueyun. But if my string is broken, I flail and plummet to oblivion.
The answer is: Kites.
All of the answers are related to the Lantern Rite festival itself as well as a few Lunar New Year traditions, so just by process of elimination, you should be able to figure them out pretty easily.
Solving the Lantern Riddles will reward you with a few basic materials like a frog and potato, which can be used in crafting. Upon completing the quest, you’ll receive a few primogems as a reward as well as progress towards your Festive Fever gauge.
