Just as the Carlisles are hiding secrets themselves, there are loads of secrets hidden around their Dartmoor mansion. As you explore, you’ll come across secret buttons on the floor, but it’ll say you don’t have the tool needed to use them. So that you can see the secrets inside, here’s everything you need to know about how to use the mysterious switch in Hitman 3.
While there are a few spread out across the mansion, easily spotted as gold dots when using the detective vision tied to holding the right bumper on your controller, there’s one on the second floor that opens up a room that can’t otherwise be reached.
Inside, it will give you an unopened letter from Montgomery, Alexa Carlisle’s brother, which can be used to present evidence to the latter to suggest that Zachary killed himself the night before, even though he didn’t
How to Use Mysterious Switch in Hitman 3
What you need to do is to first head to Mr Fenersby’s office by the kitchen and staff area on the bottom floor, jump out the window to the right and head around the left side.
There, on a crate by the delivery trucks, you’ll find a crowbar, so grab it and head back to the office. Make sure no one is watching and use the crowbar to break in.
Then you’ll spot a master key for the mansion on a shelf just to the left of the door. Grab that and head upstairs to Emma and Gregory’s bedroom.
In there you’ll find a walking cane with a dog on the top. That’s the item you need to have to use the mysterious switch in Hitman 3. Head back to one of the switches and hold Y if you’re on Xbox (triangle on PlayStation) to use the cane on the button. A door close by will then open for you to look inside.
Grab any intel inside and continue on with your investigation. We’ve got a full walkthrough of the Dartmoor murder mystery here.
