Following Fortnite’s update earlier this week, players can now get bosses and henchmen in the Fortnite Battle Lab mode. Previously only appearing in online matches, bosses and henchmen are key to a number of gameplay features, that led to players desperate to have them in the Battle Lab mode where players can experiment on the island at their leisure. In this guide, we’ll talk you through how to get bosses in Fortnite Battle Lab.
Can You Get Henchmen and Bosses in Fortnite Battle Lab Season 5?
Update01/21/2021: Unfortunately, it appears that bosses do not spawn in Battle Lab in Season 5. Where in previous seasons they would automatically spawn as they would in any other match, when we’ve hopped into Battle Lab in the current season, we couldn’t find either The Mandalorian or Predator where they should spawn.
Should Epic Games release a patch to reintroduce bosses back into Battle Lab in Season 5, we’ll update this post and let you know.
The good news is that you don’t actually have to do a whole lot to get henchmen or bosses to spawn in Battle Lab.
As long as you’ve got the latest update applied to your game, you should be able to load up Fortnite Battle Lab and find that Henchmen are wandering around in the usual places you’d expect.
That means if you go to one of the Quinjet Landing Sites or Stark Industries, you’ll find Stark Robots wandering around, patrolling the areas.
As for bosses, again, you’ll simply need to know where they spawn normally in order to find them in Battle Lab.
Head to Doom’s Domain for example, and you should find Doctor Victor Von Doom guarding his named location. At Stark Industries you’ll find Iron Man, and Wolverine should now be patrolling Weeping Woods, just to name a few.
Defeating bosses in Fortnite Battle Lab can give you the opportunity to familiarize yourself with their Mythic abilities which are devastating attacks you can use agains opponents.
You can also just get to grips with the locations of the vaults that they hold the keycards for. These vaults are teeming with chests, ammo boxes and rare weapon crates, so they’re well worth your time.
