How to Get Watase Masaru Summon in Yakuza Like a Dragon

To get the Watase Masaru summon in Yakuza Like a Dragon, you’ll need to complete a couple of requirements.

The first is to advance the game’s main story to the point where you have to protect Watase and Dojima Daigo after they announce the dissolving of their respective families. This requires you to survive a few fights, so be sure you’re well-stocked on healing items to prevent any unnecessary deaths.

Once you get past said fights, you’ll be treated to some exposition before regaining control of main character Kasuga Ichiban. When you regain control, you’ll be sent a message by Kamulop, a former member of the Tojo Clan disguised as one of Yokohama’s mascots. He’ll tell you that both Daigo and Watase are available as summons if you’re willing to trade him something for their information.

How to Get Tojo Clan Crests

Which brings us to the second requirement for getting the Masaru Watase summon in Yakuza Like a Dragon: You need to bring Kamulop 50 Tojo Clan Crests and exchange them for his Poundmates contact information.

These Crests can be obtained by either finding them scattered throughout the game’s cities – those being Yokohama, Kamurocho, and Sotenbori – or by defeating powerful enemies in combat. The latter method can be particularly effective so long as you’re strong enough to go into the game’s more difficult underground dungeons where strong enemies are more common.

Use whichever method you’re most comfortable with, and once you have 50 Tojo Clan Crests, meet Kamulop at the Hotel Grande Blu Marino in the Northeast corner of Yokohama. Speak to him, and then scroll down to the bottom of his exchange list to find Watase’s Poundmates information.

Select it and exchange the 50 Tojo Clan Crests needed to obtain it. Once you do, you’ll be notified that Watase is now available to be summoned in battle.

What the Watase Masaru Summon Does in Yakuza Like a Dragon

As for what the Watase Masaru summon does in Yakuza Like a Dragon, it’s a little different from other top-tier summons.

For the sizable cost of ¥1,000,000, Watase will appear to beat one enemy of your choosing into the ground with a 100-hit combo, dealing an extreme amount of blunt damage. This will kill all but the game’s stronger enemies outright, and those that survive will be inflicted with a massive cut to their attack power.
