Developed by Koei Tecmo and Omega Force, Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity is a new musou-style game that’s releasing for the Switch this week. It serves as a prequel to Breath of the Wild, and follows Link, Zelda, and the four champions in their war against the Guardians and Calamity Ganon. Along the way, you’ll pick up new equipment to increase your chances of survival during missions. Here’s how to upgrade weapons in Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity.
Upgrading Weapons in Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity
You’ll pick up a lot of weapons as you complete missions in Age of Calamity, and eventually you’ll run out of space for them. You can sell them for money, but you can also use them to upgrade weapons that you like using the most.
After completing the first chapter, you should be able to unlock and access the Hylian Blacksmith Guild. Head over there through the Services menu, then choose the Fuse Weapon option.
From here, choose the weapon you want to enhance, then choose up to five other weapons that you want to use as upgrade materials. Do note that you can only use weapons that are in that character’s inventory, which means that you can’t use a scimitar from Urbosa to upgrade Link’s sword, or vice versa.
Once you’ve selected your fusion materials, hit the + button to confirm your decision. On the right side of the screen, you’ll also be able to see how much experience your enhanced weapon will get from the fusion, and there’s also a chance that you could get other perks such as increased monster part drop rates, or increased experience gains.
That’s all you need to know about how to upgrade weapons in Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
