Developed by Koei Tecmo and Omega Force, Age of Calamity is a Warriors-style game that also serves as a prequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Getting More Hearts in Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity
As you get more characters in Age of Calamity, you’ll need to level them up slowly. Your characters will usually start out with four or five hearts, but it’s definitely possible to increase that limit as you keep playing.
As your characters level up, you’ll slowly gain more hearts. The best way to level up aside from just playing as specific characters during missions is to take them to the training camp, and spending rupees to increase their level that way. Aside from that, you can also complete quests for more bonus hearts.
In between missions, when you’re on the world map, you can hit the L and R buttons to get to the Quests tab. From here, you’ll be able to check out the available quests for each of your individual characters.
These are really just streamlined fetch quests that require you to gather a certain number of resources of materials while you’re out on the battlefield, and just turn them in to complete the quest and claim your reward.
Most of these quests will improve that specific character’s attack combo, but there are a few that will increase the number of max hearts that you have.
When looking through the quest list, make a note of the ones that list increased max hearts as a reward and focus on collecting the resources for those.
Once you have enough, just turn them in at the Quests tab and your character will automatically gain an extra permanent heart. This will become especially important later on as you get to the harder missions in the game.
