Godfall is finally out on PC and PS5 and combines both the looter shooter grind with satisfying melee combat. As such, you’re probably wondering how to get weapons in Godfall so you can continue to make your character even more powerful. We’ll talk you through how, as well as how to equip weapons in Godfall once you’ve fancy a change.

How to Get Weapons in Godfall

Weapons can be obtained in any of the following ways:

  • Drops from enemies
  • Opening Chests
  • Increasing Difficulty

The most common means of getting weapons is by killing enemies and picking up the weapons that drop from them. These are represented by colored orbs.

Another obvious method of getting more weapons in Godfall is to open any chests you find in missions or its open world areas. These often weapons and other helpful gear for your adventure.

Finally, you can increase the game’s difficulty to boost your loot drops in Godfall. This will not only make them more frequent, but gives you a better chance of getting weapons with a higher rarity.

The color of a weapon’s orb determines the rarity of the weapon. The weapon rarities and colors are:

  • Grey – Common
  • Green – Uncommon
  • Blue – Rare
  • Purple – Epic
  • Orange – Legendary

How to Equip Weapons

To equip a weapon, simply press the touchpad to open up your menu. From here, go to the weapon slot and press X. You’ll now be able to choose the weapon you want to equip.

Press X on it again to confirm your newly-equipped weapon. Now back out of the menu and you’ll be ready to roll.
