Bugsnax is a new indie title from Young Horses that has you playing as a journalist who must seek out the truth of Snaktooth Island by interviewing all of the residents and bringing them back together. There’s also tons of different Bugsnax to collect by using a variety of tools and a snack trap. If you’re wanting to play Bugsnax with a friend, then you might be wondering if Bugsnax is a multiplayer game or if there is some sort of multiplayer component to the experience. Here’s what you need to know.
Is Bugsnax Multiplayer?
We’re just gonna nip it in the bud right now and say that unfortunately there is no multiplayer in Bugsnax at all. The game only contains a single-player campaign to play through and nothing else. There’s no sort of online play or leaderboards or co-op or anything like that.
This is to be expected of course as there has never been any multiplayer showed off in a Bugsnax trailer and it was never mentioned by the developer/publisher.
That being said, there could eventually be a post-launch update or DLC pack that adds in multiplayer, but that’s unlikely considering the type of game that Bugsnax is.
