New Soft, Hard, and Pinnacle Power Cap in Destiny 2 Beyond Light

Destiny 2 has been continually raising the Power Cap with each new season and is no different with the 12th season, Season of the Hunt, beginning alongside the launch of the Beyond Light expansion. Her are the new Soft, Hard, and Pinnacle Power Caps for the 12th season:

  • Soft Cap: 1200
  • Hard Cap: 1250
  • Pinnacle Cap: 1260

Returning or new players do not need to fret about being left behind for such high numbers, since developer Bungie said that all new players will start at 1050. Returning players will have their weapons and armor increased to 1050, while any equipment over that number will remain unchanged.

For those needing a refresher, the Soft Cap can be reached by simply playing the game and earning weapons and armor from completing various activities or the campaign. The Hard Cap can be attained by earning Powerful rewards that are guaranteed to increase Power, while reaching the Pinnacle Cap requires Pinnacle rewards earned from very specific activities.

Bungie has made a small change with the new expansion by offering a chance to earn Powerful rewards from playing strikes, Gambit, Crucible, and Seasonal drops until the Hard Cap.

The studio said it is quicker to complete the checklist of Powerful sources each week, but the change allows players to advance if they only play one or two modes.

That are the new Soft, Hard, and Pinnacle Power Caps for Destiny 2 Beyond Light. Be sure to check back with Twinfinite for more coverage and guides for Destiny 2, or head over to our Beyond Light wiki.
