Is There PvP in Genshin Impact? Answered
As it currently stands, no, there are no PvP options in Genshin Impact. This is a strictly PvE experience.
As it stands, the gameplay loop has you amass a sizable pool of party members, equip them with a range of different weapons and artifacts and tear through enemies with a bevy of mixable elemental attacks, exploring a sizable open world as you do.
You can even bring other players into the chaos once you get far enough into the game, working together with up to three other players to complete missions and earn new items.
It’s enough to be a full-priced experience all on its own, and when one factors in its gacha game elements and planned events, it’s little surprise developer miHoYo may have forgone adding in PvP on top of all that.
Will the Game Ever Have PvP Elements?
As for whether PvP might be added to Genshin Impact at a later date, it’s not impossible.
Given that the game already has multiplayer elements via its co-op, it’s far from impossible to imagine more multiplayer modes being added further down the line. However, nothing concrete has been announced at this time, so it isn’t something you should be holding your breath for just yet.
