Crash 4: How to Skip Cutscenes & Dialogue

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time has finally arrived. and fans of the orange bandicoot can finally enjoy a true authentic and old-school platforming experience with all the trimmings of a modern game released in 2020. There’s a bit more story this time around, more than you would expect from a Crash game. Not everyone is into all of that though, and may be wanting to know how to skip cutscenes and dialog in Crash 4. Here’s what you need to know.

How to Skip Cutscenes in Crash 4

Crash Bandicoot has never been a story-heavy game. There’s always been a light plot going on, usually along the lines of Crash getting manipulated by Cortex or someone else, and then coming to the realization with the help of his friends and his sister Coco to put a stop to whatever evil plan is going on.

Crash 4 doesn’t follow that exact path, but it’s more or less along the same vein. It’s enjoyable, but it’s not going to win any best plot awards, obviously.

If you don’t really care and just want to get onto the platforming as quickly as possible. All you need to do to skip cutscenes in Crash 4 is press any button while a cutscene is going on. On the bottom right you’ll then see a prompt that will let you know that you can press and hold Triangle on PS4 or Y on Xbox One to lock in your desire to skip the cutscene.

That’s it! Easy right? While some players will want to watch them all the first time through, when you’re re-running levels many players aren’t going to want to see the same cutscenes over and over, so knowing how to skip cutscenes in Crash 4 is definitely useful.
