Thanks to the newly released Super Mario 3D All Stars collection on Switch, tons of people are playing through Super Mario 64, Sunshine, and Galaxy for the first time ever. If you’re new to the N64 title and having trouble fully completing the Big Boo’s Haunt course, here’s how to beat the Eye to Eye in the Secret Room level in Super Mario 64 so you can get that sixth Power Star.
Eye to Eye in the Secret Room Level Walkthrough for Super Mario 64
Ok, so you’ve completed the first five levels of Big Boo’s Haunt, which means that you’re probably familiar with this spooky area already, making this sixth level much easier to finish in just a few short minutes.
When you first jump into the course, run inside the mansion’s front door. Go up the staircase in the lobby and then go through the door on the far-right side of the second floor.
This will bring you to a library (watch out for those flying books!), in which then you will want to go and open the door that’s right behind the bookshelf.
Now, hit the blue block to get yourself a Vanish Cap, which will turn Mario invisible for a short amount of time.
Now go back to the room with the bookshelf and you’ll now need to perform a wall jump to reach a secret alcove. You can probably make it up by doing a backflip as well. You want to stand in this spot in the corner of the room.
Once you make it up to the secret area, open the door and then run to the other side of this room until you spot a picture of a Boo on the wall. Your Vanish Cap will allow you to run into it, bringing you to a room with a giant, spinning eyeball.
To finish Eye to Eye in the Secret Room, all you need to do know is run around the eyeball for a few seconds until it gets dizzy. If you do it correctly, the ball will disappear and you’ll be rewarded with a shiny ol’ Power Star.
Hopefully that helped you all figure out how to beat the Eye to Eye in the Secret Room level in Super Mario 64 as part of the Super Mario 3D All Stars collection. If you’re looking for even more tips, check out our extensive Guide Wiki.
