Developed by Vanillaware and published by Atlus, 13 Sentinels Aegis Rim is a real-time strategy RPG that tells the story of 13 high schoolers jumping into futuristic mechs to beat up alien invaders. This is probably the most story-heavy game Vanillaware’s ever put out, and if you want to learn everything there is to know about this game, you’ll want to rack up some Mystery Points. Here’s how to get and use Mystery Points in 13 Sentinels Aegis Rim.
Getting Mystery Points in 13 Sentinels Aegis Rim
There are two main ways to obtain Mystery Points in the game, and we’ve listed them down below:
- Clearing a combat mission for the first time.
- Upgrading the Meta-System terminal.
For every first combat clear you get, you’ll be rewarded with one Mystery Point for your efforts. In addition to that, you can also rack up more Points by upgrading the Meta-System in combat prep menu. Press the triangle button to go to the skills screen, then hit L1 or R1 to tab all the way over to the Meta-System upgrades.
You can spend Meta-Chips here to upgrade the Meta-System, and this will reward you with one Mystery Point per upgrade as well.
How to Use Them
As the name suggests, the Mystery Points are used to unlock Mystery Files in 13 Sentinels Aegis Rim. In order to progress through character stories, you may need to unlock a certain number of Files, and these will help flesh out the lore further.
Head over to the Analysis mode to take a look at all the Files you’ve unlocked so far, and look for the ones highlighted in red. Press X when highlighting a red file to use a Mystery Point to unlock it, and you’re all set.
