Using the Meta-Gauge in 13 Sentinels Aegis Rim

You can get through most of the game just using your basic character abilities, and you should be able to clear most of the stages without too much difficulty. However, if you’re not careful, you could potentially play yourself into a corner with the enemy kaiju only a couple turns away from destroying your base and winning the map.

In situations like that, you could potentially save yourself by making use of your powerful Meta-Gauge abilities. At the start of the game, you’ll only have access to one ability, but it’s definitely good enough to give yourself some breathing room.

In the bottom left corner of the screen, you’ll see your Meta-Gauge. Once it’s all charged up, it’ll light up in green and you can press the triangle button to see your available abilities. Select the ability you want to use, then press the X button to confirm your selection to use it.

Do be warned that Meta-Gauge abilities can only be activated once per battle at the start of the game, so you’ll want to save them for moments of desperation when you really need to turn the tides in your favor.

The gauge itself will charge over time, and it fills up as you defeat enemies with basic abilities and pass turns. At the start of the game, the only ability available to you will serve as a map-wide AoE attack that damages all enemies. This is a good way to clear the map quickly if you’re getting overwhelmed and need to recover before the next wave of enemies comes in.

That’s all you need to know about how to use the Meta-Gauge in 13 Sentinels Aegis Rim. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
