When you happen upon a tree you can cut, a glowing outline will appear around it. Once this happens, you can press the Square Button on PlayStation 4, the X Button on the Xbox One or the Y Button on the Nintendo Switch to trigger the animation for cutting down said tree.
This will cause Stella and Daffodil to go to one side of the tree each and turn their Everglows into saws. They’ll then get into position, and once they’re ready you can press the left and right directional buttons on the D-Pad to start sawing through the tree.
