Today third-party developers had a lot of news, reveals, and releases of Microsoft Flight Simulator add-ons to share.
Let’s start with an announcement. Japanese developer Technobrain (whom you may know for the excellent Yao Airport) moved on to a much bigger challenge and is developing Osaka Kansai International Airport (RJBB).
Built fully on an artificial island, it’s the third-busiest airport in Japan and the most relevant in the west of the country.
It includes two runways and two massive terminals, one of which is the biggest in the world, built by famous architect Renzo Piano. Of course, it’s served by both passenger and cargo airlines from all over the world.

Next, come new screenshots and details from Fenix Simulation, that revealed a lot more about its upcoming Airbus A320, mostly focused on the MCDU implementation and features.

- Every single autoflight model is modeled and complete. This includes RNP, FLS, and everything else.
- RTA (Required Time of Arrival) is fully implementyed including the active mode.
- The closest airport list is available for diversions.
- The Fix Info Abeam functionality is included.
- Offsets are also available.
- The developer is working on expanding AOC and ATSU services, and of course you can request the weather.
Next is Military Visualizations, which provided a new look (and the first look of the exterior) at its de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver.
We move on to DC Designs and more screenshots of the F-14 Tomcat.
Almost all code and flight dynamics are now working correctly and the developers are starting to “focus on enhancements, detail, testing and improving every feature of the Tomcats” before they convert the model from F-14A to B.
Moving on to airports, Orbx released a trailer of the upcoming Brisbane Airport (YBBN) in Queensland, Australia. We also get a brief list of features.

Verticalsim has released Sarasota–Bradenton International Airport (KSRQ) in Florida, USA.
It’s now available on the developer’s own store for $17.99. Below you can read a feature list and enjoy a gallery.

Last, but not least, Simulación Extrema released Cabo Juan Román Airport (SCAS) in Puerto Aysén, Chile.
