The Fortnite week 8 challenges have arrived, with many of them requiring players to make the most of the new cars and vehicles added into the game as part of yesterday’s Joy Ride update. One such challenge tasks players to drive a car from Retail Row to Pleasant Park in 4 minutes. While this may seem straightforward, there are a few things you’ll need to keep in mind. In this guide, we’ll run you through everything you need to know to complete the challenge and get the 35,000 XP reward.
Driving a Car from Retail Row to Pleasant Park in 4 Minutes
As you drop into Retail Row, you’ll notice there are a few different cars here that you can drive. We opted for the taxi right in the center of Retail, as it had over half a tank of gas, and is nippier than the trucks that could be found here.
Once you’ve got a car, you’ll want to follow the route we’ve highlighted in red on the map below. The main thing to remember here is to stick to the actual roads, as opposed to going off-road. Going off-road will slow you down and use more gas in the process, so be sure to follow the red-marked road below.
If you need to, you can even stop off at the gas station just to the east of Pleasant Park on the other side of the bridge if you’re running low.
Ideally, your car will have over 60% fuel, as that should be enough to get you from Retail Row to Pleasant Park in under four minutes as long as you stick to our guided route above.

It’s worth keeping in mind that while we did this in a Battle Lab to illustrate the path you need to go, you’ll need to do this in a game with other players. Some may be trying to take out cars as they’re fairly large targets, but you’re best avoiding them and focusing on getting to Pleasant Park, rather than engaging them if you do get shot at.
